Hermana Larsen en Mexico!

Hola familia! It's been another week of miracles! This week we had exchanges with the sisters from Ocosingo and Huitepec. While on exchanges Hermana Behymer and Valencia contacted a woman in the street that didn't have a cell phone or want to give them her address because the owner isn't very friendly, but agreed to meet with us in the church the next day. When Hermana Behymer told me we had the appointment in the church, I didn't say it, but I honestly didn't expect her to show up and we had no way to contact her if she didn't. But we went to the appointment the next day, and there she was, on time! I honestly was super surprised! We gave her a tour of the church building and invited her to church on Sunday. She came, but didn't end up getting there until the services were ending, haha, but we can definitely see her desire because she is making the effort to meet with us! Hola familia!! This week the sun came out!!! Physically and metaphorically haha, there were days when I didn't even bring my jacket and I felt like I was in Mexico again! We started off the week with a zone conference with President and Sister Doman, which are always awesome! Hermana Doman talked about how February is her month of miracles and they shared with us a really special story about the miraculous birth of their youngest daughter. One of the things that stood out to me and that I've been learning a lot here in the mission is the reality of the Lord's hand in our lives. He truly is an unchanging God of miracles and if we have eyes to see them, he gives us daily miracles (see Mormon 9:10-11 ). And we truly saw lots of miracles this week with both new and progressing investigators! One of my favorites was with a new investigator named Te_. Hola Familia! Haha okay, I didn't realize I said that [about the house of prayer] so confusing. So our branch is a part of the city San Cristobal, there are two other branches there in the city, we don't have a stake here just a district. Our branch includes two locations that are about an hour away, one is Teopisca and the other is Oxchuc. Since they are far away they hold their church meetings in houses or regular buildings called "houses of prayer". Here in San Cris we have an actual church and every first Sunday they (the members in Teopisca and Oxchuc) are invited to travel and have their services with us instead of their house of prayer. Every Thursday we travel to Teopisca to proselyte there and the elders in our branch travel to Oxchuc because it's more dangerous. Haha so no, sadly the house of prayer doesn't have wheels and doesn't travel. This week they actually asked us to go to Chenalho again (don't worry, mom, they don't let us go ...
