Hola Familia! Ez, I'm definitely jealous about the cookies! You're saving me some, right? JJ, yikes about your thumb! Glad to hear Boise was fun :) Mo, always good to ask who the advice is for first hahahah! Hmm, Jarrad, I know a few sister missionaries that are going home soon, but they don't speak English... but that can be fixed! Dang, Cam! You've become quite well traveled! Haha yikes, Dad! Thank goodness for your awesome driving skills! Haha, Mom, what's your calling again? So it's been a crazy week! Hermana Bastián came this week on special transfers because she like destroyed her foot (but it's better now :)) and we spent a lot of time in their ward Mactumatza helping the sisters out with one of their investigators that was baptized. And a lot of time running around like crazy in our own area because Ar_ got baptized! Finally!!! Basically everything went wrong on Saturday, but in the end it was all okay because he was baptized :) I think with ever...

Hola familia!! Haha sounds like a good week, Ez! haha no, Mo, I don't remember the peacoat Christmas situation... JJ, way to go!!!!!!!!!! I'm impressed, Dad [with the cookies]!! Mom, I want you to have all your fingers when I come back please! Hmm true story, in two days I'll have un año on the mission!!! That's super crazy! I definitely don't feel like I've been here a year..... But I can definitely say I have changed so much!! yeah, the first few months were very difficult for me, but I'm so grateful for that because it's thanks to the difficult experiences that I've been able to grow and change and learn. If I could go back and do it again there's a lot of things I would have done differently to prepare for the mission. Number one is probably study more the...

Not a meeting - a revelatory experience

Hola Familia! Jarrad, the time has come. It's now or never. You might not make it to your 3rd anniversary ;) Hermana Rivera already told me they're probably not going to give us our husbands until the Millennium. Ez, put on a coat! What an awesome campout, JJ! Cam, I want to see my famous face!! Mo, stop wasting the food and don't be a Democrat. Or if you want to be a Democrat come here to Mexico because they love Obama here! Aw, Mom, you are Wonder Woman! It's been a weeks full of meetings down here in Tuxtla! On Monday and Tuesday, literally all day, except for a couple of hours in the evening we were in the monthly Leadership Counsel. But it was a super awesome meeting. One thing that I love is that President Doman always begins the meeting by telling us that we're not going to have a meeting, we're going to have a revelatory experience, because that is the purpose of bringing everyone together. So I guess I didn't have any meetings this week, I had a...

Hola Familia!! Ez, that sounds awesome about the [cub scout] Pack meeting! JJ, I used to lose a lot when I was on the track team, but I liked to think of it as a service to the other players so they could feel better :) Don't give up! All teams start out rough. This week has been AWESOME! First off, General Conference is always the best!! I got to watch it in Español. One of my favorites was Elder Christofferson's about sanctification and sacrifice and becoming more Christlike (at least I think so, this is how you guys can test my Spanish, if he actually talked about that ;)) and maybe partially because Elder Christofferson speaks perfect Spanish and translates his own talks #rolemodel. I was listening to his talk and thinking "Wow, this translator has like literally the same voice! No wait, it's him!!" and I got really excited. I never thought before about what a blessing it is to speak English and get to hear the very words of our modern day prophets, their ...
