Hermana Larsen en Mexico!

Hola familia! Lots of miracles this week! We started the week off with Leadership Counsel in Tuxtla. Haha we actually had to travel a lot this week. We also went to a part of our area this week that's an hour away called Teopisca . We've been trying to take advantage of service opportunities and so last week when we were there we saw a woman moving wood from outside of her house to inside and went over and started helping her. She accepted happily our help and is named Gl_. After we finished with the wood we sang her and her kids a hymn and asked if we could come back the next week. She said that was fine, but when we invited her to the house of prayer (because they still aren't big enough in membership to have a church building, and we actually went to see the house of prayer, it's the wooden building from the pictures) she told us that she went to the Pentecost church, but was still happy to receive our visits. Hola Familia! Haha you guys asked how it is being with an American companion, and it's been super awesome! Hermana Behymer is from San Diego and is a super hard worker! It's fun to be able to talk in Spanglish :) we almost always speak in Spanish to each other, but it's nice when we need to say something that we don't want anyone else to hear to be able to speak English. And it's great for Mondays too when we forget English words, like right now I couldn't remember "relapse" and she helped me haha. And haha yes, they call us " gueras ". It's been a great week! One miracle from this week is that we found Ju_ again! He'd been in and out of town a lot for his work transporting vegetables, so we hadn't been able to find him for a while, but he's still very interested in the gospel! Hola Familia! This week I made history! You know how I told you guys about Los Altos where there are all the native tribes and they speak Tzotzil and Tzeltal and that they don't send Americans there? Guess what! They gave us permission to go this week! Because Hermana Ventura was there last transfer and there isn't anyone closer to teach the investigators there. We went with some elders that are the only ones in the whole Los Altos zone that are still up there and it was super cool! I felt like the beginning of my mission again because many people talked in Tzotzil , there were still a lot that spoke in Spanish, but they all greeted each other in Tzotzil , so I didn't understand a lot : ). But it was so special to be up there! I'm the first and probably last American sister that got to work up there for a day, and there was a special spirit knowing that I'm here in Book of Mormon land teaching exactly the people for which the Book of Mormon was written!
