Don't you want us to come visit you?
Hola Familia!
Yeah, those pictures were of An_ and Jo_ this week! Unfortunately their date has been pushed back because their grandpa is in the hospital :( And it always rains here, so I don't know if it's a normal amount [of rainfall] or not, haha. Spanish fail this week: El_ is not El_. El_'s name is actually Eb_. They're almost close. Don't judge, JJ, Spanish is hard.
This has been a super successful week! It all started with Hermana Ro_. Hermana Ro_ is a little old lady that is super sweet and can talk all day without getting tired! She let us know that she had a reference for us and accompanied us Tuesday morning so we could meet them. Ro_'s reference turned out to be a whole neighborhood in which she knows literally EVERYONE, and those that she didn't know she quickly contacted on the street with "don't you want us to come visit you?" which turns out to be a very successful contacting method when it's coming from Hermana Ro_! We found some really good new investigators this week through her that we're really excited about! And she's going to come with us again on Tuesday! Woohoo!
We've had some really special experiences with Ca_ and Ma_ this week. Ca_ has become very interested in the Book of Mormon. We started reading 3 Nephi 11 when Christ comes and visits the Nephites. That's what first sparked his interest. When Ca_ first starting listening to us he rarely read the pamphlets we left, but now he always reads the BoM chapters we leave. And he doesn't just read them, he keeps a pen close so he can mark the verses that stand out to him and always marks the verses we share with him. And they finally came to church this week! And loved it! Church is the best! I definitely attribute their new progress to the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is truly powerful. As we read its pages we come to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ better and build our faith in him, which leads us to act and live his gospel. If you're not reading the Book of Mormon at least a little bit daily, I encourage you guys to do so. There is a reason that Joseph Smith referred to it as the "keystone of our religion".
We also started teaching the daughter of a less active member that has started to come to church again. Her name is Li_, and she told us this week that she has been praying about baptism and that she received her answer in a dream in which she was participating in vicarious baptisms in the temple. She accepted June 17th as her baptismal date and we're super excited for Li_! Personal revelation is real! We all receive it in individual and personal ways, but nonetheless our Heavenly Father answers our prayers!

I am loving that, "don't you want us to come visit you?" That is positively adorable! I can almost picture that lady saying it. Also, does Kaysie eat that fruit?
